Everson Festival Brings New Additions To Local Staple

The Everson Museum is back for its 36th Festival of Trees and Lights. The holiday staple not only returns with its traditional display of magnificent trees but ut also with a few new additions.

The Holiday Marketplace is new this year, where 10 local vendors will sell some truly unique Christmas gifts. Some of those gifts include artisan soaps, custom craft boards, candle holders and jewelry, and so much more.

Also new to the festivities, this year is the pop-up cafe hosted by Eden Hospitality. They're a local upscale restaurant that plans to move into the museum after the new year. The final new addition is the "cash and carry" policy, which allows visitors to purchase trees, reefs, and ornaments.

One of the visitors said that having the festival back allows them to remember old memories and help create new ones.

"We used to bring my mother-in-law and that was always very fun. This was one of the things that she enjoyed doing with us. So that's kind of sad that she is no longer with us to do, but it's still fun to come and see the different trees. I like coming every year because they're always different. And it gives you some ideas when your own"

Speaking to festival organizer Pattie Miller, she says the newer additions "will hopefully attract new and old fans of the holiday season"

With live music, pictures with Santa, and a winter wonderland the holiday cheer is going to be nonstop. The festival is going on until the 19th You can find more information on their website.
