Syracuse Hancock Airport sees pre-pandemic travel levels

WAER File Photo

If you happened to take a flight out of Syracuse’s Hancock airport last month, you certainly weren’t alone. Regional Airport Authority officials say more than 225,000 other passengers passed through the airport in April, an 8.5% increase over the same month in 2019.

The volume is usually higher in April due to spring break travel. Officials say the number of travelers using the airport has officially returned to pre-pandemic levels.
