Oneida County Sheriff's Office looking for recruits at local job fair

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office announced a job fair open to individuals interested in becoming corrections officers.

The job fair will take place on Monday and Wednesday, followed by events on May 8 and 9. Applications to be a correction officer close on May 12.

The fair will prepare participants for the civil service training and experience exam used to determine whether or not an applicant is likely to find success in their department of their choice.

Those interested in applying for a position through the Oneida Sheriff’s Office will be fingerprinted, interviewed and have the opportunity to speak with active employees at the job fair.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office also announced vacancies in courts, patrol, and municipal security departments with minimum qualifications and special requirements.

All applications must be submitted through the Oneida County Web Portal.

The job fairs are set for 12-7 p.m. at 6075 Judd Rd in Oriskany
