Event Description

We are going virtual with Plowshares this year! 10 weeks of sharing, shopping, & crafts Nov 20-Jan 31, and a 50th Anniversary Celebratory Weekend of online performances & live-streaming events on Dec. 5-6! Central New York's premier multicultural crafts fair, Plowshares celebrates a world where people enjoy their work and have control over it. With 50 participating regional craftspeople and community groups, it is a marketplace of ideas and beautifully diverse, handmade items. In addition to browsing & shopping from crafters and organizations, there will also be virtual versions of other familiar features of Plowshares: --A Marketplace through which to buy books, calendars, buttons, magnets, and more --An online Silent Auction where you can bid on a great selection of gift certificates for local restaurants and businesses --Live-streamed entertainment and music --Opportunities to talk with crafters, SPC organizers, and community members via Zoom More than a crafts fair, Plowshares is a peace festival, with music, activism and a spirit of fellowship, creating a weekend of grassroots commerce and community. It's a wonderful opportunity to connect at year's end with old and new friends and share in the life of a village marketplace that has no corporate headquarters. There will be no admission fee, but donations are gratefully accepted. We can’t wait to “see” you there! Plowshares will be “open” at www.plowsharescraftsfair.org starting on November 20.
