Of Twigs and Trees
March is the perfect time to learn how to identify trees by bark and bud. By learning a few simple shapes and textures we’ll have you recognizing leafless trees as if they were old friends. We will go for a walk on flat trails around the Atkinson Arboretum and Harrison Loop to meet the trees. Please come dressed for the weather. Pre-registration is required and due to limited capacities associated with the pandemic, walk-ins cannot be accommodated. This program is designed for attendees that may have a “budding” interest in plant and tree identification and is recommended for ages 13 and up.
