About a quarter of Syracuse households are seeing changes in their trash and recycling collection schedules starting Monday, September 9. The city cent postcards to all Impacted residents.

City administrators say the adjustments are based on data analysis aimed at improving efficiency and reducing service delays.

The number of routes will be reduced from 15 to 12, allowing the deployment of staff for other services such as bulk pick-up and litter collection.
