Utica launches community solar program to help residents save on energy bills

Utica is launching a community solar initiative aimed at helping residents lower their energy bills by 10% without needing to install solar panels.

By signing up, residents will be connected to nearby solar projects, with savings expected within two to three months.

"The City of Utica Community Solar Initiative is about doing the right thing for our community by returning real benefits to our residents."
Mayor Michael P. Galime

Those in public assistance programs could see savings of about 20%. Residents can contact the city for more information.
