Norovirus Surge: Stay Safe with Handwashing and Disinfecting

Norovirus is spreading across the U.S. this winter, with cases of the stomach bug ticking up in the Northeast. The Centers for Disease Control reports 12 percent of tests were positive in late December.

In New York, 21 outbreaks were reported early last fall. Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headaches, fever, and body aches.

Health officials recommend frequent handwashing and disinfecting surfaces to help prevent the spread.
