Environmental Risks Threaten Lifestyle & Recreation Opportunities in the Adirondacks

The Adirondack Park faces numerous challenges - to water, plant and animal life, and to the lifestyle for those who live and work there. Climate change and the heavy storms that it creates further threaten many aspects of the park, making areas uninhabitable for certain species or damaging infrastructure people rely upon.

On this episode of Deeper Shade of Green, Adirondack Council Executive Director Rocky Aguirre details some of the threats, while also discussing initiatives to help protect the Adirondacks, getting people more interested in preservation, and suggesting how diversity and smart development can help.

Music for this episode of Deeper Shade of Green comes from the Syracuse-based Jazz group E.S.P., the song is Reach.
