Her Hilltop High: Lacrosse Is Brought To Syracuse University

This episode of Her Hilltop High starts right before the United States enters World War I. Football and basketball are established sports on campus. But in 1916, SUNY ESF students introduce a new game to Syracuse University students: Lacrosse.

This is also the time the University starts its relationship with veterans, having an active Student Army Training Corps during World War I and creating the Recruiting Officer Training Corps following that.

Many of campus's well-known schools and buildings take shape during this time including the Maxwell School and Hendricks Chapel.

Her Hilltop High is a look at the 150 year history of Syracuse University ahead of its Sesquicentennial in March 2020.
