Numerous COVID 19 Testing Sites this Week in Onondaga County Added to Curb Current Spike

ongov.net

If you are wondering whether the holiday period exposed you to the coronavirus, there are numerous opportunities to get tested this week.  Onondaga County has added a number of community locations for tests of those without symptoms.  County officials conitnue to say asymptomatic testing is vital to slow the spread of the virus, since many people never have symptoms but can still make others sick.

Testing sites begin Monday at four community centers and continue at roving locations through Thursday (times and locations below).  The asymptomatic test site in the Oncenter remains open as well.  Appointments are needed for all of the options.

The Christmas holiday did not slow the virus and its devastation.  The county reported 9 more people died from the disease Christmas Eve, while another 12 lost their lives Christmas Day.  The past three days registered 472, 313 and 290 new cases.  There are 313 people in the hospital from the virus, as of Sunday morning, down from a high of 333 last Tuesday.
