The Syracuse Orange (16-6, 7-2 in the ACC) defeated the Pittsburgh Panthers (12-10, 2-7 in the ACC) by a score of 65-56 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Following a nine points loss in the Carrier Dome in January, the Panthers were looking for a chance to redeem themselves, but Syracuse was ready to reclaim their victory on the road.
The Orange have now one back to back conference road games after a devastating loss to #10 Virginia Tech.

Since the Notre Dame game, the Orange had been draining threes left and right. However, the Orange only shot for 31% beyond the arc tonight.
The playmaker in tonight’s game was sophomore Oshae Brissett as he ended the night with 18 points, none of which were made from three. Brissett also led the team with 12 rebounds on the night.
Frank Howard was also a key player in tonight’s game scoring 15 points. If the Orange want to find success for the remainder of the season, Howard will need to be a key player, like he was tonight. As Tyus Battle had mentioned in the pregame press conference, anyone can get hot, and Howard and Brissett were the two guys tonight.
It was a team effort for the Orange tonight, which helped back Battle’s weak performance. The Orange will end their road trip at 2-1 as they come home to the Dome on Tuesday. They play #25 Florida State at 8, tune to WAER at 88.3 for tipoff.
