Syracuse's Win Streak Snapped in Heartbreaker at Clemson

Cuse.com

Syracuse's five game ACC win streak ended Tuesday night in Littlejohn Collesium at the hands of the Clemson Tigers, 71-70.

Junior guard Clyde Trapp had the winning basket for the Tigers with just two seconds left off of a pretty feed Khavon Moore.

Syracuse was up by as many as three with just 1:30 left, but failed to score a point afterwards, and lost the lead on Trapp's layup.

The Tigers were carried by Trapp's 17 points and a career night from senior Tevin Mack, who notched 34 points and 10 rebounds.

The Syracuse offense was led by Elijah Hughes and Buddy Boeheim who each had 22 points. Joe Girard III was the only other member of the Orange in double figures, with 10 points.

Syracuse dealt with significant foul trouble, with both Marek Dolezaj and Bourama Sidibe fouling out in the second half.

Things will not get any easier for the Orange as they return home to host ninth ranked Duke on Saturday night.
