In Syracuse's final home game of 2019, they will welcome a familiar foe, and tournament adversary, to the Carrier Dome on Tuesday, April 9, at 6:00. The No. 11 Syracuse Orange (6-3, 1-2), will take on the No. 10 Cornell Big Red (7-3, 2-2) in a rematch of the first round of the 2018 NCAA Tournament, where the Big Red sent the Orange home early with a 10-9 victory.

Baylor Pulls Away Late to Boot 'Cuse From NCAA Tourney

A long, winding season of Syracuse men's basketball (20-14, 10-8) has abruptly ended with a 78-69 loss to Baylor (20-13, 10-8) in the Round of 64 of the NCAA Tournament.

SU's East Carolina transfer Elijah Hughes led all scorers with 25 thanks to a 6-11 night shooting from beyond the arc. Baylor's first graduate transfer in team history, Makai Mason, led the team with 22 points.

There’s just under 24 hours remaining to fill out your NCAA brackets for March Madness. The Syracuse Orange (20-13, 10-8), are locked in as an eight seed and will play the Baylor Bears (19-13, 10-8) tomorrow at 10 pm in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Fortunately, the Orange have already beat the #1 overall seed in the tournament, the Duke Blue Devils. However, Duke is at full strength and have eyes on more than just an ACC championship this season.

The NCAA Tournament is a time of excitement, with often times dreams becoming reality, and memories that last a lfietime.This week on The Best of WAER Sports Podcast, Connor Federico takes a look at one of those memories that Virginia and headcoach Tony Bennett would like to forget.

Finding the best conference for men's college basketball at times can feel a lot like finding the best pizza place. At a certain point you identify the two or three best choices, and then it largely comes down to personal preference. An arguement could be made that the ACC is the best college baskletball conference in the country.

Syracuse Looks to Capitalize on NCAA Tournament Bid

The party is over. Now it’s time to dance.

Syracuse men’s basketball looks to make the most of its controversial NCAA tournament bid when the team takes on Arizona State Wednesday night.

Both teams are No. 11 seeds, having made the tournament as at-large bids. These spots are given to the strongest teams who did not earn a bid by either winning their conference during the regular season, or by winning their conference’s tournament at the end of the season.

The NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament has it's 68 teams with play set to tip off this week. The lead up to this point; as it is every year, was quite the confusing journey. To help us better understand how the selection process works we enroll in bracketology 101 with WAER's Drew Carter.
