Shelley v. Lenhart for Onondaga County Sheriff: Whose experience will sway voters?

CNY Decides presented by WAER Syracuse Public Media and Central Current

Onondaga County's next Sheriff will deal with jail reorganization, decisions about working with federal agents, and improving employee recruiting and retention. Democrat Tobey Shelley is running to keep the post against Republican RJ Lenhart.

On this episode of CNY Decides, WAER's Chris Bolt speaks with Central Current's Laura Robertson who's been covering the race. In her article, Robertson finds that each candidate touts experience as a key reason they should win the post - even though those backgrounds are very different.

CNY Decides is a joint voter-education project of WAER Syracuse Public Media and Central Current.
