Will ongoing war in the Middle East & military aid for Israel sway NY-22 voters?

CNY Decides presented by WAER Syracuse Public Media and Central Current

Peace in the Middle East and the ongoing war in Gaza are important issues to people in Central New York. Recent rhetoric and votes in Congress by Democrat John Mannion drew criticism from Republican challenger Kailee Buller, who questioned his support for Israel. The community has also seen local supporters of Palestinians called antisemitic, along with calls for peace and for support of Israel.

On this episode of CNY Decides, WAER's Chris Bolt speaks with Central Current's Patrick McCarthy who reported on this issue. They discuss how much it might sway voters in the upcoming midterm election for the 22nd Congressional district.

CNY Decides is a joint voter-education project of WAER Syracuse Public Media and Central Current.
