Tax experts will be available to answer questions of last minute filers during extended hours this week. According to a release from the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance, there will be three days of extended hours at the income tax call center.
People can file a personal income tax return and pay any taxes owed by the end of April 18 at 11:59 p.m. In addition to their usual hours, tax department experts will also be available:
- 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EDT on Friday, April 15;
- 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. EDT on Saturday, April 16; and
- 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. EDT on Monday, April 18.
