The state department of transportation wants drivers who frequent Erie Boulevard during the evening and overnight in the Town of DeWitt to expect traffic delays.
The overnight milling and paving project will be taking place on the eastbound lanes from Bridge Street to East Genesee Street and result in a single lane reduction.
The work will happen from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. and is expected to be complete at the end of the month. Once the eastbound side is finished, work will shift to the westbound lanes of Erie Boulevard.
Drivers are asked to use caution and look for flaggers and traffic control devices. Those caught speeding in a work zoned could have their license suspended.
