Only two months ago, the zoo celebrated the birthof the twins. And now the Asian elephant twins have been a real hit at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo.

During the zoo's Twin Day and Holidays with the Animals, more than 1,700 visitors came to see them open gifts as part of the themed days.

The twins received their names after a contest for the elephants. The names chosen were Yaad, which means memory, and Tukada, which means chip.

The name selections come shortly after Micron, a major manufacturer or semiconductors, announced a historic investment in the region.
