People in Central New York and around the world have been enamored by the extremely rare birth of twin male Asian elephants at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo in Syracuse. But now they have something else to look forward to.

Now that the twins are more than a month old, the zoo is allowing citizens to pick names for the elephants.

The zoo and Onondaga County are launching an online naming competition. Anyone can choose their favoritename for both elephants before voting closes at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
