A Syracuse University Spanish Professor uncovered a work of great historical significance during research in Madrid, Spain. The finding might be interesting to both historians and the arts.
The manuscript found by Alejandro Garcia-Reidy was in a collection in Madrid and was cataloged as anonymous. He was able to compare to other works by the author Felix Lope de Vega of the time, while also connecting with a scribe who copied the work for a specific theater company of the time.

Garcia-Reidy says the manuscript is in really good condition and can be read fairly easily. It's available for viewing online through Spain's National Digital Library.
