Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh will deliver the 2022 State of the City at the new JMA Wireless facility located on the Southside of Syracuse. The technology manufacturing plant is a central element to Mayor Walsh’s Syracuse Surge initiative.
“Despite the global challenges of COVID-19 during the past nearly two years, the City of Syracuse continues its resurgence. There is no better symbol than the construction of the new JMA Wireless campus, which is rising at a formerly vacant industrial site,” said Mayor Walsh.
Currently, the company is holding job fairs and working with community partners to reach city residents to fill open positions. They plan to hire at least 200 people for the new plant on that sits on South Salina Street and Tallman Street.
JMA Wireless makes an advanced software-based 5G platform, and designs, codes and manufactures it in the United States.
