A new drive-thru distribution site for COVID-19 tests will open this Friday. Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon announced it will take place at the New York State Fair Orange Lot starting at 11 a.m.

This county will distribute 4,000 kits for a total of 8,000 tests, and there will be a limit of 2 kits per car.

McMahon said identifying the virus is important in the process of combating the pandemic.

“As more tests are made available, we will continue to work with our local partners and our Emergency Management team to distribute them quickly and efficiently,” McMahon said.

The county is asking residents to not arrive at the test distribution site before 11 A.M. They will hand out kits until 4 p.m. or until they are gone.
