The New York State Department of Labor’s new Twitter account aims to make its announcements and information more accessible to Spanish-speaking residents.
This new account @NYSDOLenEspanol will post information about job opportunities, workers’ rights and protections, unemployment insurance, and immigration policies. They'll also provide COVID-19 updates, all in Spanish.

“This new social media account will increase our visibility and enable us to better deliver important, life-changing services, resources, and information to more New Yorkers in real time,” said NYDOL Commissioner Roberta Reardon.
The DOL provides its documents in 11 different languages and the website’s chatbot communicates in nine languages.
