Syracuse Police said a 12-year-old has been arrested in connection to last week's robbery of Juli Boeheim in a Destiny USA parking lot.
Officials said the boy brandished what appeared to be a handgun but was later determined to be an airsoft, or pellet gun, and stole her purse and phone.
He fled with three other males in what an investigation concluded was a stolen vehicle. It was recovered on the city's east side later that day. The boy faces robbery and larceny charges and is being held at the Hillbrook Juvenile Detention Center.
