Three CNY Republicans touted support for a Senate GOP-led plan to cut taxes while claiming the Democratic majority in Albany has failed to make the cost of living in the state more affordable.
The state senate's top GOP member and two senate candidates gathered at a Thursday news conference to express support for the End the Exodus plan released in January. The GOP agenda aims to address what officials say is a high rate of residents leaving the state.
During the event at Byrne Dairy in the town of LaFayette, Senate Minority Leader Rob Ortt, Rebecca Shiroff, a candidate for the newly drawn 50th Senate District, and Julie Abbott, a county legislator who is running for the 48th Senate District criticized the state's the democratic majority for failing to support struggling families and businesses.
