Reconstruction plan near the State Thruway at Syracuse has begun

wikimedia commons

Motorists who use a five mile section of the State Thruway in the Syracuse area already know crews have begun a major improvement project.

A total of $84 million in tolls will be used to reconstruct the highway between exit 37 at Liverpool and electronics parkway, and exit 39 at I-690.

All traffic has been shifted to the westbound lanes as construction is performed on the eastbound lanes.  Crews will also rehabilitate bridges, and make safety improvements.
