Syracuse private sector jobs grow by more than 3% since last year

The latest numbers from the New York State Department of Labor show the Syracuse-area added about 9,300 private sector jobs since last June. The 3.8% increase falls in the middle of other large upstate cities.

Rochester saw a 3.2% bump, while the Buffalo-Niagara region jumped 4.8%.
