Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh has tested positive for COVID-19.

On social media, Walsh said he is working from home, has mild symptoms and plans to isolate the rest of the week. Walsh also encouraged people to stay up to date on their COVID-19 vaccinations.

Next week, Onondaga County will host a Moderna booster clinic at the Civic Center. The clinic is by appointment only. Residents can make appointments on the Onondaga County website. The recommended wait is at least two months after a person's last booster to receive their next one.
