A new tool might be handy for those looking to park at Syracuse’s Hancock Airport during the busy holiday travel season. The near-real-time parking status tool allows travelers to check each parking lot at any time without leaving home.

Syracuse Regional Airport Authority Chief Commercial Officer Jason Mehl said the tool will provide an overall smoother travel experience for passengers.

“This is all about making our customer’s travel day a little easier before they even leave for the airport,” Mehl said in a release. “These near-real-time parking status updates will eliminate any guesswork – and hopefully a little stress as well – from the ground transportation portion of our travelers’ experience.”

Travelers can also use the pre-booking option the airport rolled out last year to secure a parking spot weeks or months in advance. The airport just added 500 new parking spaces as part of a much larger project as well.
