The state’s top prosecutor is taking aim at ghost guns.

Attorney General Letitia James said a new court order will immediately prevent 10 national gun distributors from shipping and selling ghost gun parts into New York. A ghost gun is an untraceable firearm which can be easily assembled, according to a press release.

James also also said the ghost kits have caused violence and devastation throughout the state, but the court order aims to prevent this.

"My office will continue enforcing our commonsense gun laws, promoting public safety, and getting dangerous weapons off our streets," said James.

Last summer, James filed a lawsuit against the 10 national gun distributors for the selling and shipping of ghost gun parts into the state, according to a news release.
