Syracuse police investigate weekend homicide of 19-year-old

The Syracuse Police Department is continuing to investigate a weekend homicide that left a 19-year-old male dead after officials say he was shot several times in his mid-section.

Police believe the incident happened within the 1500 block of South Avenue on Saturday around 11:15 p.m. A 16-year-old female victim was also injured with a graze wound to the arm from an apparent bullet.
