A reportfrom the New York State Comptroller shows that local sales taxes increased by 7% over the first quarter of the year.

Onondaga County saw a 6.7% increase while Madison County saw a rise of 4.2% and Cortland 2.9%.

The comptroller's office said most of the collections are back to pre-pandemic levels.
