A program for residents to honor veteran and active duty service members is expanding in the City of Syracuse. The public has until March 9th to submit their nominations and photos to appear as part of the Hometown Heroes banner program along city streets.
“I’m proud to continue this program and to see banners honoring veterans across all quadrants of the city,” said Mayor Sharon Owens. “With a new location in downtown being added, I encourage residents to continue to recognize the service of their loved ones.”
The banners are on display for 3 years between Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day and cost $160. Click here for more information about the program.
