The $100 billion dollar Micron project requires the creation of a new industrial sewer district to manage wastewater coming from the semiconductor plants. The specialized sewer districts are designed to manage high-volume, highly concentrated waste to safeguard public water systems. In this case, it would expand the ability to protect water resources as the plant is expanded. A public hearing is set for Tuesday at the Onondaga County Legislature at noon. Click here for the livestream. Ait follows an informational meeting at 10:15. Written public comments are also accepted through March 3rd.
