The Syracuse Police Department is investigating a homicide after the death of a 25-year-old man early Tuesday morning on Lawrence Street.
The man suffered from multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and was taken to the Upstate University Hospital, where he later died, according to the Syracuse Police Department.
The officers were alerted by a ShotSpotter activation, which is an automated way to listen for gunshots in the area. The incident is active and the Syracuse Police Department is asking anyone with information to contact them.
