Those with disabilities who visit Onondaga County now have an easy way to verify the accessibility of hotels and attractions. Visit Syracuse is partnering with Wheel the World to collect accessibility information like hotel room dimensions, doorway widths, bed heights, and bathroom clearances.

Area hotels, restaurants, shopping centers, parks, and museums are among those already participating. In addition to the travel platform, the program also includes training and storytelling campaigns. More than 15 million travelers with disabilities take 40 million trips a year, spending $23 billion annually.
