Crews work on the remaining pieces of the southern interchange, including the I-81 southbound ramp to I-481 north.

A short stretch of Interstate 481 southbound connecting to I-81 southbound is closing overnights starting Tuesday evening for bridge work.

The work is being done as part of the I-81 viaduct project that has been ongoing in the area.

Drivers will exit at Brighton Ave, follow the detour to South State St., and reconnect with I-81 southbound.

The closure is in place from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday through Friday.
