The Catherine Cummings Theater, formerly known as the Cazenovia College Theatre will open its doors for a fundraising concert Friday night.
It's occasionally held events since it hosted the Syracuse International Film Fest last fall.
Now, owner Adam O'Neill says the theatre is being brought back to life, “...really in the ways in which it was operated previously," he continued, "So, certainly hosting the community talent shows and doing some movies, festivals and even being open for weddings.”
The theatre once served as an opera house. New experiences for the ultimate music fans are in the works.
O'Neill spoke to his excitement for hosting large musical acts, "If we can recruit them to attend, perhaps even household name acts to do a sort of once in a lifetime intimate venue type experiences for attendees."
There’s around 250 seats in the Catherine Cummings O'Neill boasts that there’s not a bad seat in the house.
Friday’s concert in Cazenovia features Loren and LJ Barrigar as well as SU Lacrosse legend – turned folk singer - Mike Powell.
Doors open at 6:30 and the show gets underway at 7.
