Syracuse University's Marketing Division Moves Into Cantor Warehouse

John Smith/WAER News

A large department at Syracuse University has moved from the hill and is replanting new roots downtown near Armory Square.  The Marketing and Communications Division moved into the Cantor Warehouse in February. The move comes at an ideal time as the division was previously split up into six different buildings on campus.  Lisa Andreotta is the Senior Associate VP of Operations. She says the dedicated floor in one location allows for new ways to collaborate and make an impact.

"Syracuse University is such an integral part of the Central New York area. I feel like this space allows us to be in the hub, in the center city. We're really able to get out and connect with the community, which is great and we're really trying to be better parts of the community."

The new location also factors in new job openings to expand from the current 70 positions.  Andreotta  says the division is very much interested in advancing all of the university’s goals.

Lisa Andreotta says the dedicated floor in one location allows for new ways to collaborate and make an impact.

"We have several positions open within our strategy team, our digital team, our marketing platform which is more web based and content team. I think we have a couple of other positions open within the content team. We're growing. It's a very exciting time for us."

The department also joins the Community Engagement Division and Performing Arts students at the Cantor Warehouse.
