Civil Service Exam Announcement

New York Department of Civil Service
The New York State Department of Civil Service has updated its examination announcements

Central New York’s civil servants will now find it easier to land a job.

The New York State Department of Civil Service has updated its examination announcements, including roles for Environmental Conservation Police Officers, Forest Rangers, Park Police Officers, and University Police Officers, among others.

Additionally, the NY HELPS Program streamlined the hiring process for critical state positions, requiring no exams and ensuring permanent appointments for qualified candidates. Continuous recruitment exams are open, and all exam application fees are waived through December 2025. Applicants need a personal NY-dot-gov ID to apply and can access technical assistance Monday through Friday.
