First responders host National Night Out events in Onondaga County

Onondaga County’s first responders (and maybe even the Air-One helicopter) will be on hand as part of an annual celebration that promotes police-community relations.

The sheriff’s department is hosting the National Night Out, which features police and fire vehicles, food trucks, music, bounce houses, and other kid-friendly activities. The free event takes place this evening [Tuesday] from 5 to 8 at Long Branch Park.

The Syracuse Police Department event takes place at Kirk Park from 4-7 with entertainment, exhibits, and concessions.

The National Night Out aims to strengthen bonds between neighbors and law enforcement, fostering a sense of community. Additionally, it offers a chance for police and residents to connect in positive, supportive settings. More information about the national event is available online.
