Syracuse firefighters have battled several fires since Tuesday afternoon including one that displaced five people.

A press release says a fire on Alvord Street was intentionally set while at least two people were inside. Another fire early Wednesday on Oakley Street led to several evacuations.

Firefighters were tasked with fighting two different house fires on Fitch Street. They say one home caught fire, and it spread to the house next door.

Firefighters say there were no injuries connected with any of the blazes.
