Syracuse Police are warning riders of modified motor bikes to use extreme caution after a man died in a crash over the weekend.
Twenty-year-old Dante Sloma died from injuries sustained in a late-night crash downtown on motorized bike that police say was not legal for public roadways.
Police say they’re also deeply concerned that the increase in reckless operation of similar bikes during memorial gatherings in Sloma’s memory could lead to another tragedy.
The Syracuse Police Department is increasing patrols and will arrest anyone recklessly operating a motor bike.
