U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer announced that Syracuse and other upstate New York cities will receive additional funding under the federal CHIPS and Science Act.

Schumer said $500 million has been added to the Regional Tech Hubs program, benefiting Syracuse, Rochester, and Buffalo.

The funds aim to expand the program and deliver critical technologies to underserved communities.
