Former Central New York Republican Congressman Brandon Williams is joining the Trump administration. President-elect Donald Trump said on Truth Social that Williams will serve as the next undersecretary for nuclear security and the administrator of the National Nuclear Security Administration at the Department of Energy.

Trump notes that Williams served as a Nuclear Submarine Officer and Strategic Missile officer in the Navy. Willams served one term representing the 22nd Congressional District. He was defeated by Democrat John Mannion in November.

Beck retired as News Director at Wyoming Public Radio in 2022 after 34 years. During his time, Beck won 5 regional Edward R. Murrow awards and 5 Public Media Journalists Association awards for reporting. He also won 11 PMJA awards for the news and public affairs program Open Spaces.
