Syracuse trails Erie in snowiest U.S. city contest

Erie leads with 102.8 inches, while Syracuse follows at 97.4 inches. Rochester ranks third with 76 inches, and Buffalo lags behind at 68 inches.

You might not believe it, but Syracuse still has work to do in order to win the Golden Snow Globe as the snowiest city in the US.

To date Erie, Pennsylvania leads the way with 102.8 inches, with Syracuse in second place with 97.4 inches.

Rochester is third with just over 76 inches and Buffalo is a pedestrian 4th with 68 inches.

Last year at this time Syracuse recorded 34 inches of snow.
