The Onondaga County public library system welcomed new leadership Monday as Amanda Perrine began her first day as executive director.
Perrine, appointed by the Board of Directors, brings years of experience within the organization to her new role. She began her library career at the Marcellus Free Library in 2015 before advancing to manage two Syracuse branches. Most recently, she served as the coordinator of member services at the Central Library in downtown Syracuse.
The appointment marks a promotion from within for the library system as it continues to serve the Onondaga County community.
