Syracuse Common Councilor Pat Hogan responds to questions about Rezone Syracuse.

Onondaga County’s Democratic Committee chose its slate of candidates for this year’s local elections, and Pat Hogan was their designee for Syracuse Mayor.

The long-time common councilor and city hall employee emerged with 60% of the weighted vote over other hopeful candidates like Deputy Mayor Sharon Owens, who came in second.

Voters will choose their candidate in the June primary. All common council and county legislature Democratic incumbents keep their seats, with the exception of a successor to Pat Hogan.
