Onondaga County legislators vote March 4 on a proposal to borrow nearly $27 million for various capital projects.

Major expenditures include $7 million to upgrade the 50-year-old heating and cooling system at the courthouse, $5.5 million for improvements at Hillbrook Detention Center, and $5.4 million for renovations to the Sheriff’s evidence storage facility.

Additional funding would go toward enhancing security at county buildings and making improvements to local parks.
